About the Project
The Salvation Army Corps in Morley provides a range of community based services and pastoral care. Lanigan Architects was engaged to create a cafe and playspace as a meeting point and safe environment for the local neighborhood, while also converting the existing sports hall into a Salvos Store thrift shop. The extension linked various parts of an existing facility and created a clear entry point with an indigenous artwork displayed across the cafe entry glazing. Internally a nature play landscape was designed to allow free play and exploration for kids and quiet spaces for informal counselling and care.
